Since 1972, the Swiss Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SSICM) has been committed to high-quality treatment of critically ill patients in Swiss hospitals. The fusion of doctors and intensive care nurses into one professional society in 2011 is still groundbreaking today. Since then, the SSICM has reflected the interprofessionalism that is lived out every day in intensive care units. Together we take responsibility for intensive care patients in Switzerland.

We are the independent Swiss Patient Organisation Foundation and have been giving patients a voice for over 30 years.
